[New Music] BIG HEATH FEAT GEKO – ‘SWITCH SIDES’

Introducing you to the guy you need to know about! Big Heath drops new single ‘Switch Sides’ Feat Geko. Championed by Nas, DJ Semtex, and the track being premiered by Charlie Sloth on BBC 1Xtra Big Heath is the guy you need to know about. A rapper hailing not from an inner city, but rather the quiet suburbia of Cambridge, BiG HEATH is not only comfortable with being different, he embraces it, delivering rhymes that veer from the well-trodden ground of the ‘road’.

BiG HEATH got his first break as an artist in 2017 when he was booked for notable support slots with Nas and Freddie Gibbs. It was his live performance at Nas’ show in Liverpool that caught the attention of DJ Semtex, and by early 2018 BiG HEATH’s self-released single ‘SWiTCH SiDES’ was on heavy rotation at BBC 1Xtra.  Plaudits from the likes of Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Tinie Tempah followed, with critics earmarking him as the “next one up” who is showcasing a different side to the UK Rap scene.

Keeping up the momentum this year, BiG HEATH recently opened the main stage at Wireless – when he was brought out by Semtex – and will be performing on the Radio 1Xtra stage at Reading & Leeds Festival. Having inked a deal with Polydor Records and hunkered down in the studio with Show N Prove (J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs), Ishi (Usher, Ne-Yo, Wretch 32), Abaz (Tory Lanez, T-Pain, Gucci Maine), he is set to release his debut EP in September. The new version of SWiTCH SiDES, now featuring Geko, is the first cut to be taken from this upcoming EP.
