Looking for a fresh new sound? Yoshi Flower has you covered!

Writer, producer, and multi-genre artist Yoshi Flower has announced his signing to Interscope Records with new track “Brown Paper Bag”.

Written and produced by Yoshi himself, the vibrant track combines elements of hip hop and electronic music, sounds that the Detroit born up and comer grew up with.

The track was Zane Lowe’s World First on Beats 1 Radio on Apple Music and is now available on GRDN (his own imprint) / Interscope Records via all digital retailers HERE.

Speaking on the release, Yoshi Flower states:

“This one is for freedom, sonically and all else. The beginning of the new alternative. We think the things that matter to us are the superficial things…our phones, our cars, our clothes. Things that we believe give us serenity, they are fleeting and damaging to our psyche and environment. But when you think about what really gets you through this life it is the little things. For me, it is a brown paper bag. It held my lunch when I was bullied, it holds my 40oz and more when I want to get high, it helps me breathe and calms me down when life gets too lifey.”

After releasing his first single “Movies” earlier this year, Fader called Yoshi’s sound, “effectively early Lana Del Rey except if her partying involved EDM.” But listen to “Panic Attacks,” the collaboration with Yoshi’s friend (and roommate) Elohim, and you’ll be treated to raw and emotional lyrics sung over only a piano. “I’m just trying to be myself for better or worse,” he told Billboard. “If I’m hated for it or if I can connect with people for it, that’s dope.”
