DJ Jay Erica Intro: Firstly, thank you, Kadeyjah , for sitting down with me again to discuss your music career. It was great speaking with you previously. I want to ask you a few more questions regarding your career as a rising performer and discuss your newest single ‘Close To You’.

Q: Tell me about yourself how did you get your stage name, where are you from, where do you reside etc?Which artist inspired you the most growing up?

A: My stage name is my actual name I sometimes have a hard time you know figuring out a persona or you know something that represents me so I just stuck with my name. I’m originally from Los Angeles Born and raise. And I still live there. What artists that inspired me the most growing up would be I would say you know like Chris Brown , Mariah Carey, Monica people like that you know people that actually do music that I can really sing in need of vocalize too.

Q: Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?

A: My dream artist to collab with is Chris Brown because he was one of the first artist that inspired me to learn all his songs you know I followed everything he did he really it’s like I love his dancing.

Q: Why did you decide to become a  Artist/ Entertainer?

A: I always dreamed of being a superstar you know and when I got the opportunity to really focus on my crafting and tried to get out there in the field I kind of took the opportunity and I’m not I could say that I don’t dedicate myself as much as I should but I’m learning and I’m getting there.

Q: What’s the story behind your song close to you? Who was the writers/producers of the song? What do you enjoy about making music?

A: There really isn’t a story behind it I just wrote it you know with some thoughts in my head in the Bible to beat him I don’t really have a background to it it’s just that it was it came to me and it flowed  out really well so I just kept on writing. I was the writer of it the producer was Jude (Hits By Jude) he’s really dope and talented. The thing I enjoy the most about making music is just the artistry of you know putting words together and feeling the vibe of the beat I just love it.

Q: If you could cover any song what would it be?

A: I can’t even really narrow down my choices of a song that I would cover just because there’s so many. I would cover and if I could just you know it’s just I can’t think I can’t even think of one there’s multiple multiple that I would cover.

Q: What are the most challenging things you experience as an RNB artist in today’s industry?

A: The most challenging thing I would experience is just a fact that everyone does music and that everyone wants to be an artist and everyone is out there trying to come up so it makes it hard for people to really find their niche.

Q: Do you think there’s a double standard in the industry, or in entertainment in general?

A: I believe there is there’s definitely a double standard in the industry and I’ll just with all the people and all the things that are going on  just everything that it comes with everything you have to learn it’s definitely a double standard.

Q: Do you have any new projects on the way or any performances occurring, any events? What’s your overall plan for the next few months?

A: I do have a project coming out of the EPR in a couple of months. I’ve been working on some writing and just getting everything together we are working on the video to close to you as well and focusing on trying to get that out the way we’re also just going to just keep taking it slow and right in the way that the radio stations and stuff like that and we just come in . Just networking if I’ve been with people you know good really good people really good DJs really good radio shows which I would appreciate it you know very much. The next couple months for me is going to be you know writing and finding my voice and just doing shows trying to travel home now just getting the EP done you know getting a couple more singles out there and just finding that micro.

Q: What makes you unique from other artist?

A: The thing that makes me unique is  I am an amazing person you know my personality I’m funny I’m chill I am thankful. You know there’s a lot about me that is different.
