Today on Deejaytakeover music artist one on one feature we had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Memphis,TN based Artist Carita Cole. The music newcomer currently signed to T.A.P. Legend Entertainment talks with us at Deejaytakeover discussing her life, new music, and much more. Check out her full Q/A one on one feature below! 
 
Q) Tell me about yourself how did you get your stage name, where are you from, where do you reside etc?
A) My Stage name is my real name.  I had other stage names but I decided that the best one is the one my mom gave me.  I am from Glendale, Az but I reside in Memphis, TN.
 
Q) Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
A) It would be Drake.
 
 Q) Which artists inspired you the most growing up? 
 A) Aaliyah and Missy Elliott.
 
Q) What’s the story behind your new single ? Who was the writers/producers of the song? What do you enjoy about making music?
A) My new single is a song that I was just feeling at the moment and it didn’t take very long to make. Six bands produced the beat and when I heard it I instantly fell in love with it.

A) Yes, David Hubert directed the video!

Q) How would you define your genre of music? What can new supporters expect when listening to your music?

A) My genre of music is in a class of its own.  It’s rap mixed with rnb mixed with a positive message.

Q) If you could cover any song what would it be?

A) It would be Aaliyah’s one in a million.

Q) What are the most challenging things you experience as an RNB/HIPHOP artist in today’s industry? What changes would you like to see in the music/ entertainment industry?

A) Trying to separate myself from everyone else.  Everybody is rapping about the same things and I just want to be unique.

Q) Do you think there’s a double standard in the industry, or in entertainment in general?

A) Yes I do. The industry expects women to look and act a certain way as they do men as well.  

Q) Do you have any new projects on the way or any performances occurring, any events? What’s your over plan for the next few months.

A) Yes I will be dropping my new EP called Recognition very soon.

Q) What makes you unique from other artist? Also whats your 5 year goal with your career where do you want to be ?

A) My style and my music.  I want to inspire the new generation to become better people.

Q) What do you do in your free time? Any Hobbies?

A) I like to watch basketball,  I am a big golden state fan.
